Students petition government to reopen Machinga Teachers Training College
Students from Machinga Teachers Training College have petitioned Ministry of education to reopen the school, two months after authorities closed the institution amid commencement of Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB exams
Government closed the college on 2nd November as students from the school were protesting against unpaid allowances from their authorities at the institution
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam president of the students union Vanessa Manjomo said the prolonged closure of the college has brought number of challenges to students in terms of finances and demotivation in examination preparations
Responding to the outcry principal secretary in the ministry of education Chikondano Mussa acknowledged receipt of the petition
