Former president meets DPP presidential aspirants

Former President Professor Peter Mutharika has met all presidential aspiring candidates of Democratic Progressive Party DPP

The DPP presidential aspirants are Paul Gadama, Dalitso Kabambe, David Mbewe, Bright Msaka, Joseph Mwanamveka and Kondwani Nankhumwa

In a communique after the meeting spokesperson of DPP Shadrick Namalomba says the day marks the special day in the history of the party in his desire and commitment to rebuild it

Namalomba also says all the aspirants have pledged to serve and recognise the authority and leadership of Mutharika as a sign of reconcilliation and to complement the spirit of unity preached by the party’s president

“The aspirants have agreed to shelve their presidential ambitions and stop their campaign until at the time when the convention will be announced,” Namalomba
