School wall falls on 6 children in Nancholi

Six children have been injured after the wall of a school fell on them in Nancholi Township, Blantyre on Tuesday 31 January, 2023

Spokesperson of Blantyre police station Peter Mchiza has confirmed to Radio Islam in an interview

Mchiza said the station has arrested director of Wonder Care nursery school in Nancholi Mrs Mayamiko Mzeru and her workmate Mr Michael Willies on the offence of criminal negligence following their decision to enroll pupils knowingly that the building is in a dilapidated state and not fit to house human beings

Meanwhile, he says one pupil Trevor Mbendera 2 years old has died while receiving treatment at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and other 5 pupils are still getting treatment
