ZUMGA donates to hunger stricken in TA Nkoola

Zanzibar University Muslim Graduates Association (ZUMGA) has donated various food items which include maize flour & Sugar worth two million Kwacha to families affected by hunger in T/A Nkoola, Machinga district.

Speaking when presenting the items to over one hundred and forty households in the district Chairperson of the organization Daniel Kamanga said his organization decided to donate after learning about a serious hunger situation in the area.

“We thought of helping the people in the area with the food items as one of the objectives of the organisation is to assist the community through charitable activities,” said Kamanga

In her remarks, Thoko Nangwale, a representative of Fargo Company Limited, said they offered their support when ZUMGA appealed for the help as one way of giving back to the people.

The items were contributed by members of the organisation, well wishers, Tiger Flour Company and Fargo Company Limited.
