World Bank advises Malawi on agricultural business
World Bank has advised Malawi to prioritise improving business of agriculture.
The Bank’s enabling business for agriculture programs manager Farbod Yousefi said this when he presented a 2019 enabling business of agriculture EBA report
“According to the report Malawi is among 101 countries that promote conducive environment for people who are into farm inputs business,” says Yousefi
However, he said Malawi should improve other sectors for the farmers to enjoy their business especially buying at cheaper prices
In his remarks principal secretary in the ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism Ken Ndala said government will abide by World Bank’s recommendations.
