Woman arrested for duping People K577 million Maize

Police in Lilongwe have arrested a woman aged 40 for allegedly duping 11 people of their maize valued at 577 million kwacha on the pretext that she was purchasing the same for her organisation to distribute to the needy

The suspect has been identified as Dyless Mbengo of Gochi Village Traditional Authority Mpando in Ntcheu District

On different occasions the suspect approached grain traders and farmers telling the victims that she runs an NGO that purchases maize in large quantities and distributes to the needy
