World health organization WHO has handed over cholera medical supplies to Malawi government
The handover ceremony took over during the commemoration of world health day whose theme is “our planet, our health,” which calls on government and stakeholders on urgent actions to keep humans and the country health
Speaking during the function minister of health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda said the cholera report on 6th April 2022 shows that the country has reported a total of 65 cholera cases and 3 deaths.
Kandodo Chiponda said “the cholera medical supplies are mainly for 8 districts which were affected by tropical cyclones Ana and Gombe.”
The health minister disclosed that Malawi receives over 1.9 million doses of cholera vaccines that will be administered to most affected districts in southern region
