UTM lawyer cross examines MEC CEO
Lawyer of UTM party Marshal Chilenga has cross examined Chief Elections Officer CEO of Malawi Electoral Commission MEC Sam Alfandika.
Alfandika is the first witness of MEC in the presidential elections case.
During the cross examination lawyers of MEC objected some questions and the court dismissed one of them.
The judges repeatedly advised Alfandika to properly answer the questions.
“Mr Alfandika please make sure that you answer the questions asked,” said judge
MEC is expected to parade other two witnesses who are the director of information technology and elections.
Constitutional court is expected to finish hearing the case on 6 December 2019.
