Former Malawi’s ruling party creates autonomous women & youth wings

United Democratic Front (UDF) says time has come to create a platform for the youth and women to participate fully in the country’s political development.

UDF said this as the preparations for party’s conference slated for the 1st August this year are at an advanced stage.

Speaking to Radio Islam, UDF Publicity Secretary, Ken Ndanga, said women and youth have the significant role to play in Malaw’s politics.

Ndanga said “in view of this UDF has created new two autonomous wings for the youth and women in order to increase the participation of youth and women in the party especially at the decision making positions.”
