Tonse government makes 35 achievements in first 100 days of office-Chakwera

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says his government has made 35 achievements in his first 100 days of office.

Speaking during a ceremony organized to celebrate his days in office at Kamuzu palace in Lilongwe Dr Chakwera said the achievements have been made in line with super hi-five agenda of uniting Malawians, ending corruption, prospering together, servant leadership and rule of law.

Among others Chakwera said his government has implemented affordable input program, increased tax free band, establishing national climate change fund as well ministry of civic education and unity to foster unity among Malawians.

“I will do everything possible to ensure that every Malawian benefits from government,” said Chakwera

However, Dr Chakwera said it might take time to experience the changes because he took over from self-enriching criminals.

Speaking earlier minister of economic planning and development who is also vice president Dr Saulos Chilima said his ministry will form a mode on legal and financial reforms.

Chakwera and Chilima won 23 June fresh presidential elections, defeating former president Professor Peter Mutharika whose running mate was Atupele Muluzi, the son of former president Dr Bakili Muluzi
