TAM warns government
Transporters Association of Malawi TAM has warned government that it will put off trucks across the country from 12th January if their grievances are not resolved in time.
In a memo addressed to ministry of Transport and public works, the transporters have said are disappointed with the pace at which government is handling the matter.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam TAMA Executive member Byson Mpando said “we will also not allow in and out of trucks in all borders.”
Mpando has urged government to be serious on minimum wages for truck drivers in the country
TAM held a strike in 2019 but they stopped it after government and their employees agreed to honour their demands.
