Takaaful Corporative Society Rolls Out Fertilizer Loan Program

Takaaful Corporative Society has rolled out this year’s fertilizer loan program to farmers in the country.

Speaking in an interview after the distribution of the loans in Mangochi, Takaaful corporative society Limited executive director, Adil Chilungo said the program aims at uplifting lives of farmers.

“There is need for the farmers to utilize the farm input wisely,” Chilungo said.

He added that farmers have been divided into groups which will enable them to easily access the fertilizer loan.

Chilungo said last year’s fertilizer loan program helped beneficiaries to harvest bumper yields.

However, he said it faced challenges such as late reluctance to pay back the money.

He said this year they have formulated committees which will be pushing the beneficiaries to pay.
