Supplementary Voter Registration to commence on 10 January

Supplementary voter registration will commence on 10^th January next year and end on 3^rd February in all the three phases

This has been declared by Malawi Electoral Commission MEC and National Registration Bureau NRB during a joint press briefing in Lilongwe on Friday

Chairperson of MEC Justice Anabel Mtalimanja says supplementary voter registration target councils that faced challenges with national identity cards across all three phases

Mtalimanja said the electronic management device will automatically close at 4 o’clock but will not be used during the voting process

On his part principal secretary of NRB Mphatso Sambo claimed that NRB has already deployed its staff to all centres to conduct registration from 29^th December to 4^th January
