Sidik Mia Foundation Distributes Iftar to Over 2000 Households

Sidik Mia Foundation has distributed Iftar Food Packs to over 2000 households around Namanolo Islamic Center in Balaka district, Malawi.

Speaking during the distribution ceremony founder of the organization Muhammad Sidik Mia says Islam promotes helping the needy especially this Holly month of Ramadhan as people in rural areas have challenges to get food for Iftar.

“A lot of people will benefit in this year’s Iftar program comparing to last year as he planned to reach out to 15,000 households,” said Mia.

Mia who is also constructing a state-of-art Masjid at Namanolo Islamic center says he is happy with the progress of the project and promised more Masjids.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Daudi Kapoto Mulli Secretary General of Muslim Association of Malawi in Balaka has applauded Sidik Mia Foundation for developmental activities rendered in the district.

Sheikh Mulli said “Mia is doing a lot as he has provided the district with portable water, constructing masjids and helping people with Iftar Packs.”
