Sheikhs welcome Zing-Sure Company’s Shariah insurance policies.
Sheikhs in Malawi have recommended Shariah compliance insurance policies as a way of developing Muslim community.
This has been said during a two-day workshop organized by ZingSure Private Limited from South Africa where sheikhs across the country were civic educated on importance of Shariah insurance policies.
Speaking during the workshop in Zomba on Wednesday, Zing Sure executive Director Marc Tison said Muslim community in Malawi will benefit a lot as his company shall partner with Muslim Association of Malawi to carry social responsibility for Muslims.
“Zing Life Assurance Company Limited will allow Muslims to buy shares through MAM Takaaf,” promised Tison
He assured Muslims that the company will work together with shariah department to ensure it abides by Islamic principles.
“ZingSure will give Muslim community 240 million kwacha per year to enhance Islamic development,” Tison said
Speaking on behalf of sheikhs, Sheikh Mustafa Mzumara from Mzuzu said shariah compliance insurance is important because any business done under divine law does not rip off poor people.
“We assure Muslim community that sheikhs in the country will make sure that Zingsure is following sharia,” said Sheikh Mzumara
Chief operations officer for Zingsure in Malawi Alie Twanje said the company will empower Muslims as 300 will be employed as agents to sell shariah compliance insurance policies.
“I urged all sheikhs to civic educate Muslim community so that they buy shariah insurance policies,” said Twanje
ZINGSURE (PRIVATE) LIMITED is a registered company under laws of Malawi and has offices in Blantyre.
The company intends to establish 300 kiosks to sell insurance policies in remotest areas of Malawi.
