Self Acclaimed AFORD President Gives Up

Self acclaimed president of Alliance for Democracy AFORD has given up saying is no longer leader of the party.

Frank Mwenefumbo announced during a press conference in Lilongwe on 19 December, 2018.

Mwenefumbo said Enock Chihana is the president of AFORD until another convention is held.

“I had decided to make such a decision to respect the court ruling and I have been receiving several queries from supporters on the future of the party,” Mwenefumbo said

Mwenefumbo disclosed that he had suspended the campaigns to give room for peaceful discussions with Chihana on the future of AFORD.

Chihana has been leading the party following the death of his father Chakufwa Chihana.
