RFA obtains injunction against contractor’s Tollgates’ seizure

Roads Fund Administration RFA has obtained an injunction restraining indigenous contractors from taking over the management of the two road tolling facilities of Chingeni and Kalinyeke in Dedza districts.

This follows the contractor’s threats to seize the two toll gates on 24 September due to outstanding bill of 15 billion kwacha.

However, RFA has obtained the injunction against the 34 contractors last and the high court has since set October 1, 2024 for interparty hearing on the matter.

Meanwhile, officials for Ntcheu District Council, RFA and the Malawi Building and Civil ALLIED Traders Association MABCATA have agreed to call off the planned takeover of the two toll gates following the injunction.
