Religious Leaders Asked To Promote Peaceful Elections
Religious leaders in the country have been asked to promote peace, co-existence and tolerance during election period.
Coordinator of Centre for Social Concern in Mangochi district Peter Likagwa made the call during 2018 impact review of local advisory committee LAC in Mangochi.
Likagwa described 2018 as a good year in development as Muslims and Christians collaborated.
“We will make sure that everyone knows his or her responsibility in elections for the country to have peaceful and credible tripartite polls,” he said
Commenting, programs coordinator for Centre for Social Concern Tobias Jere applauded LAC for the success it has achieved in 2018 as they managed to maintain peace and unity.
