Red star campaign injunction still in force

Blantyre city council has said injunction which some residents had obtained against the Red Star campaign is not vacated.

However public relation officer for Blantyre city council Anthony Kasunda said the matter is still in court.

However, Kasunda said “the campaign is progressing well because many buildings are being renovated.”

President Peter Mutharika had ordered the demolition of the buildings Blantyre during the official commissioning of Chipembere Highway.

Most of the buildings were constructed before multiparty democracy.
