RAC Trains Leaders On Trafficking & Violence
Rights Advice Centre RAC has urged religious and traditional leaders in Mangochi to deal with human trafficking and gender based violence.
District manager for RAC Madalitso Masache made the advice at Mangochi Town council during the training of the chiefs and faith leaders on the two problems.
Masache said they organized the training because the community leaders receive concerns from people in their areas before reporting to police.
“RAC has equipped the community leaders with skills on how they can handle cases regarding gender based violence and human trafficking” said Masache
He said Centre is implementing the project of preventing gender based violence which is mainly targeting community leaders on issues faced by their people.
The religious and traditional leaders thanked RAC for the training saying they have acquired necessary skills to deal with human trafficking and gender based violence in their areas.
