Blantyre Islamic Mission Hosts Quran House Fundraising campaign
Pulumutsani Quran House fundraising Campaign is today holding a fundraising initiative to source money to bail-out the building.
The fundraising is taking place at Blantyre Islamic Mission BIM.
This follows the appeal which Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) made to well-wishers to generously contribute to the established fund aimed at rescuing Quran house which is on the verge of being seized by Chimwaza Architectures.
The call came after speculations went viral that MAM was contemplating to sell the Quran house plot in Blantyre to realize K118 million that Dan Kamwaza of Kamwaza Architectures is demanding through the court.
Speaking to reporters after MAM conducted an extra ordinary executive meeting in Blantyre, MAM Secretary General, Alhaji Twaibu Lawe, confirmed that “plans are there to sell the plot but have given a chance to the Muslim community to come into rescue.”
Alhaji Lawe said MAM opted to sell Quran house to a Muslim fellow as compared to let it go to Kamwaza Architectures.
