QMAM leaders advised to institute Elections Committee as per Court

QMAM leaders Sheikh Jafar Kawinga and Mabotolo Gwedeza have been advised to institute an interim committee of members within the association for them to hold elections as directed by the court.

Three regional committee members of the association made this appeal in Blantyre during a press briefing

According to William Hajji QMAM secretary for southern region, the division between the leaders has come because the interim committee that was chosen does not consists of members within the association regional committee as instructed by the court,

Therefore Hajj has requested Shoukat Malida to step out and allow the leaders to follow the court order.

In his comment, central region committee chairperson Sheikh Malekano Rajab said the problem has caused the association to lose donations hence derailing their projects in the communities, a development which is very unfortunate.

Rajab has however called for unity and tolerance among the leaders and form a committee comprising members from both sides for the association to resume its operations which have been inactive for 6 years.
