President directs Minister to formulate conducive Policy for Cooperatives

President Lazarus Chakwera has directed minister of trade and industry to formulate a conducive policy for cooperatives

Chakwera was speaking during the commemoration of international cooperatives day in Lilongwe

He said cooperatives have shown that can significantly contribute to sustainable development of Malawi

The president advised the cooperatives to increase their efforts in order to produce quality goods that compete at international market

He called for supporters from ministries, departments and stakeholders in order to have vibrant copperatives
