Pakistan national has been robbed 27 million kwacha in Lilongwe

The victim Muhammad Adnan aged 36 who manages Plastmax shop left for his home around 16:00 hours in his car carrying the cash that was in a laptop bag

However without knowing that he was being followed by another car found himself blocked from behind just upon arrival at his house gate

Public relations officer for Lilongwe Police Station inspector Hastings Chigalu says the three men putting on face masks and armed with panga knives immediately emerged from the car.

They smashed the window glass of the driver’s door injured the victim on the hand deflated tyres before taking away the laptop bag that contained cash, identity card, work permit and a passport among other documents

Police has advised people to take extra caution and avoid moving with huge sums of cash
