NRC says government should declare State of Emergency over Challenges
National Resolution for Change NRC says government should declare a state of emergency as Malawians are still struggling with numerous challenges
President of NRC Dennis Mahata says President Lazarus Chakwera need to resign for failing to end the challenges such as hunger, shortage of fuel, medicines, affordable farm inputs and rising costs of commodities among others
Nkhata said the country is on autopilot adding that over 13 trillion kwacha debt which Malawi owes others is of great concern
He bemoaned the tendency of security agents of turning against civilians despite their duty to protect them
Nkhata said borrowing of money from international organisations has not helped Malawi but worsened the hardships which people are enduring.
He said civilians have the chance to transform the country and uplift their lives
