Mutharika fires Chief Ngabu

President Professor Arthur Peter Muthalika has fired Senor Chief Ngabu of Chikwawa.

According to a later the president has sent to Noah Dalasi Chosofali, the president has used the powers vested in him by the chiefs’ act to remove the chief from exercising the functions of senor chief Ngabu of Chikwawa district.

According to the letter, the president has arrived at this decision after a successful investigation in August 2019 that he was selling land without permission from land owners.

“Government instituted the investigations after people of Ngabu in Chikwawa demanded an investigation and removal during demonstrations which took place in the district,” adds the letter
