Muslim Women urged to participate in 2025 Elections
Muslim women in the country have been urged to participate in 2025 general elections.
Speaking at this year’s Ijtma guest of honor, Sister Mariam Saidi encouraged the Muslim women to take part in development activities in order to transform the nation.
Saidi said the women should be tolerant and united for Islam to prosper as well as make duas for fellow Muslims who are suffering because of Israeli war in Palestine.
On her part National acting chairlady for Muslim Women Organization sister Khadija Hamdan, thanked all women attended this year’s ijtima including those from neighbouring countries.
Hamdan called on the Muslim women to send their children back to school as the new academic year starts next week.
One of the organizers of the Ijtma told the gathering that Islamic Health Association of Malawi in conjunction with Physicians Across Continent will conduct Fistula repairs from 9th September to 13th September 2024 at John Chilembwe district hospital and Zomba Central hospital.
She urged the women with Fistula problem to seek treatment at the two hospitals.
