Muslim Women donate to hospitals in Malawi
Muslim Women Association MWA has donated food items to 3,006 patients at Mangochi district hospital.
Chairlady for MWA in Mangochi Saujat Cassim said the donation is part of Eid Ul-Fitr celebration.
“Patients should be cheered frequently in hospitals,” Cassim said.
She called upon Muslim authorities and business people to support Muslim women groupings as they are crucial in developing Islam and the nation.
Commenting nursing Officer at Mangochi district hospital Magret Nyaude commended MWA for the donation.
Nyaude said “such assistance to patients improve their social economic status.”
She therefore asked other communities to emulate MWA’s spirit of sharing.
In a related development, Member of Parliament for Mangochi Masongola constituency has commended Mai Fatima Dawah Group for its efforts which are uplifting people’s welfare.
Parliamentarian for the area, Pemba Msusa, made the recommendation in zomba when he accompanied the group to donate assorted items to Zomba Central Hospital.
“The group has demonstrated that it can provide services to others with a little they contribute individually,” Msusa said.
Meanwhile, Zomba Central Hospital through its principal administrator has said the items will assist those patients who come from long distances.
