Muslim Sisters Youth Organisation assists prisoners

Muslim Sisters youth organization MUSYO Mangochi chapter has reached out to 268 inmates at Mangochi district prison.

Speaking after donating soap to the prisoners, one of MUSYO members Hamida Saidi Imani said the grouping realized the need to give gifts to the inmates in order to promote personal hygiene.

“We have fulfilled the teaching of Islam that encourages Muslims to assist the needy,” Iman said

Speaking on behalf of officer in charge for Mangochi prison sub-inspector Gustob Lawe applauded MUSYO for the support rendered to the prison.

Lawe appealed to the cooperate world to assist the prison as it faces shortage of funds to provide necessary support to the inmates.
