Muslim organizations urged to intensify madrassas in Chiradzulu
Muslim organizations in Malawi have been urged to intensify madrassas in Chiradzulu District.
The plea has come after noting that the area of Traditional Authority Nkalo in Chiradzulu district, is lagging behind in Islamic education since it has few madrassas hence learners walking long distances to access it.
Speaking to Radio Islam during Jalasa function at Fatima centre in Chiradzulu, a concerned Muslim who organized it Oliver Byson Mayere said “Muslim children in the area of TA Nkalo lack motivation on Islamic education as such most of them do not patronize madrassas.”
Mayere adding the area has shortage of qualified sheikhs saying this is why he thought of organizing the Jalasa by inviting Zingwangwa Masjid Madrassa to Nkalo area where they met learners from Ntamba, Mpulura and Fatima centre madrassahs to share some experience.
