Muslim Girls at MUSYO Camp advised to focus on Education
Muslim girls who attended a camp organized by Muslim Sisters Youth Organisation MUSYO at Mama Khadijah Girls Academy in Mangochi have been advised to focus on education to achieve their ambitions
The advice was made by guest of honour at the camp Zainab Longwe who is chief operations officer for training and research unit of excellence
Longwe advised the girls to take their education seriously and be exemplary despite the challenges they face
She asked them to utilize opportunities at their disposal and avoid malpractices that can jeopardize their studies
Meanwhile, chairlady for MUSYO Mainatuh Mussa called on Muslim girls to be participating in Islamic camps to gain knowledge that can help to fulfill their goals
Programs manager for Malawi Relief Fund UK that funded the camp Munira Abdullah said they decided to hold the camp in Mangochi to encourage girls who dropped out of school as the rate is high in the district
One of the participants Husina Paison whose dream is to become a surgeon said the girls benefited a lot at the camp
