MUB education officer, Stuart Chauluka said lack of government’s support towards education of visually impaired students during covid-19 period is among the contributing factors.

Meanwhile, Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM) says will take into task district councils which will deliberately delay paying allowances to teachers administering this year’s national examinations.
TUM Secretary General, Charles Kumchenga, said Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has assured them that it has already disbursed the money to all district councils for payment of invigilation staff.
On discipline, Kumchenga said “the union will not defend any teacher indulging in unwanted behaviors during the examinations”
However, Kumchenga was quick to advise all stakeholders to stay away from forcing teachers to involve themselves in cheating.
