MRCS donates maternity & dignity kits to Phirilongwe health centre

Malawi Red Cross Society has handed over maternity and dignity kits to Phirilongwe health centre in Mangochi for women and girls

Speaking during the handover ceremony district coordinator for the society Francis Liyati said they came up with the program after seeing challenges pregnant women and girls were facing

Liyati said they will also distribute mosquito nets to learners in primary and secondary schools in support of malaria reduction programs

In her remarks one of the beneficiaries Hajira Abubakar said “the dignity kits will help me and other girls to attend classes all the time.”

Meanwhile Maria Changune who is a mother of a new born baby said the donation is timely support as she will use the items to take care of her child
