Ministry warns against non-display of prices

Ministry of Trade and Industry has warned traders’ against non-display of prices on various goods and services.

The ministry has said this after noting an increase in the malpractice in the country.

In a statement signed by the ministry’s principle Secretary Christina Zakeyo it is a violation of the Competition and Fair Trading Commission Act to conduct trade without informing consumers the way of displaying prices.

The ministry has therefore encouraged consumers and the public to report to authorities any shops that do not display prices on their products.
