Minister gives Week to Mapeto Company to end Challenges

Minister of labour Vitumbiko Mumba, has given a week to Mapeto David Whitehead and Sons to rectify challenges facing workers at the factory

The challenges include lack of protective gear, sanitation, and recruitment of human resources as well health officers

Manager of the factory Martin Mpata has promised to abide by the minister’s directive

The workers told the minister that they were injured at the factory but their employers did not give them compensation and work more than 8 hours a day but do not receive special allowance
