Mia Foundation donates to Islamic Organisations

Sidik Mia Foundation has donated 3 ton lorry and 20 cattle to Mangochi Muslim Welfare Trust and Muslim Women Association MWA respectively.

Chairman of the Foundation Sidik Mia made the donation during this year’s MWA IJTIMA in Mangochi which was held under the theme “Taqwa”

“The donation is a fulfillment of his pledges he made in the past and promised to continue helping Malawians, said Mia.

He advised Muslims in the country to focus on issues that can benefit the Muslim community and the whole country instead of castigating each other.

Speaking after receiving a 3 tonner lorry worth 10 million kwacha chairman of Mangochi Muslim Welfare Trust Sheikh Ishmael Yusuf said the donation was timely as the organisation was facing a lot of challenges in its operations.

” The vehicle will address the challenges of transport to women dawah groups, taking patients to Mangochi district hospital and funeral services,” sheikh Yusuf said.

Commenting after receiving 20 cattle MWA chairperson Hawa Shaib said the development will empower Muslim women economically.

“We will share them in different districts for everyone to benefit,” promised Shaib.
