Ballot Papers for Dedza central by-elections arrive Friday
Ballot papers for by-elections in Dedza central constituency to arrive in the country on Friday 10th November on Emirates Flight
According to Malawi Electoral Commission MEC upon receipt the papers will be dispatched to the constituency nerve centre where they will be kept until the day of distribution
Meanwhile MEC has nominated three candidates to contest in Dedza Central Constituency by-elections on 16th November
The candidates are Willard Gwengwe of Malawi Congress Party, Jacob Kaumphawi independent and Andrew Kowedza of Democratic Progressive Party
The by-elections will be held in Dedza Central Constituency following the death of its Member of Parliament few months ago
Malawi Congress Party held its primary elections where at least ten aspirants contested in preparation for the by-elections
This will be the second election for Malawi Electoral Commission to use new electoral laws
The by-election was also supposed to be conducted in Mwansa ward Mangochi but were suspended due to the disagreements on the voter registration and verification process
