MCP Publicity secretary resigns

Publicity Secretary of Malawi Congress Party Reverend Maurice Munthali has resigned

In a press release Munthali says he has deeply reflected on the turn of events since he assumed office of publicity secretary 58 months ago

He says is troubled that the promises they made to people of Malawi have not been fulfilled

Munthali says as a lead governing party in tonse alliance administration they have not provided the type of leadership and direction that would meet hopes of all Malawians for a better life

He has resolved that the prevailing circumstances do not sit well with his divine calling as a man of faith and gentle intentions shared with people of Malawi and MCP members in particular in accepting to take up this noble role

Reacting to Munthali’s sentiments, MCP through its acting MCP publicity secretary Ezekiel Ching’oma urges him to bring forward any evidence of alleged corruption to relevant institutions to help fight the vice

Ching’oma says is saddened that Munthali has resigned as publicity secretary and presidential advisor on peace, reconciliation and national unity
