MCCCI To Hold Trade Fair Amid Political Tension
Malawi Confederation of Chambers Commerce and Industry MCCCI has said will hold international Trade fair amid political tension in the country.
MCCCI disclosed this to radio Islam a month after the trade fair was called off as some participants withdrew their participation due to political tension.
However, speaking to Radio Islam MCCCI Head of Communications Millie Kasunda said the chamber is expected to hold this year’s international trade fair from 6th to 15th August.
Kasunda further confirmed the low patronage of exhibiters at this year’s trade fair adding the number is shrinking every year.
“Three countries of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh have confirmed their attendance,” disclosed Kasunda
Earlier, MCCCI announced the postponement of the trade fair which was scheduled from 20th to 30th June 2019.
Countries like Indonesia, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, and China earlier confirmed to their attendance expect Zimbabwe.
