Malawi Improves On Fight Against Corruption

Malawians have been urged to report cases of corruption if the country is to win the battle against corruption.

Executive Director for Corruption Rights Watch Eliya Kamphinda said this to Radio Islam following Malawi minor progress on 2018 Transparency International Corruption Perception Index.

Kamphinda Banda further said the index which measures perceived levels of public sector corruption indicates that Malawi has scored 32 points to move from 122 to 120 in 2017

He added that the index shows that Malawi has a long way to go in as far as fighting corruption is concerned.

Malawi has been prosecuting people suspected of cash gate which is the plunder of government money.

Some of them were convicted, jailed and died.
