Malawi drops on corruption fight index

Integrity Platform has said Malawi is not making progress in fighting against corruption

Speaking during a press briefing national coordinator of the platform Jeff Kabondo Malawi has dropped from number 120 to 123 out of 180 countries on the fight against corruption.

“Lack of transparency in public institutions as one of the major contributing factors to the rise of corruption despite the country enacting a lot of legal entities,”Kabondo says

He said a lot has to be done to ensure that Malawi should go up in the fight against corruption.

Kabondo further said the country was supposed to be on good position in the fight against corruption but is still performing badly over ten years.
