Journalists Trained On Infertility

Journalists have been advised to write and report issues about infertility professionally.

This was said by Chief Executive Officer of MERCK Foundation Dr Rasha Kelej during the opening of media training on infertility in Lilongwe.

Addressing the gathering Kelej said the media can help to break the stigma about infertility hence the need to train them on how to cover issues concerning the problem

She said the partnership with Beautify Malawi Trust will help to end infertility and reduce insults on affected families.

In her remarks, first lady professor Gertrude Mutharika urged the media to avoid giving false information on infertility.

The training which was organized by Merck Foundation in partnership with Beautify Malawi Trust (BEAM) attracted 100 media professionals from central region.
