High Court Sets Electoral Case Hearing Day

High court in Lilongwe has asked all parties involved in the case on results of elections to appear before the court in chambers on Friday 14th day of June 2019 for a scheduling conference at 2 o’clock.

Registrar of the High Court and Supreme Court of appeal Agness Patemba says the applicants are Dr Saulos Chilima of UTM party and Dr Lazarus Chakwera of MCP and the respondents are Professor Arthur peter Mutharika and Malawi Electoral Commission.

Patemba says the applicants shall serve the respondents and attorney general referral by the original court not later than Wednesday 12th June 2019.

She says the respondents and the attorney general shall file and serve their responses by Friday.
