Hadith Ramadhan winner receives prizes

Winner of this year’s Hadith Ramadhan Competition has called on youths and Muslims in particular to dedicate themselves in acquiring religious knowledge by listening to radio Islam.

Fatima Kathumba 21, made the call when she received her prize from radio Islam for emerging winner of the annual Hadith Ramadhan competition after she answered correctly 27 questions.

Speaking to radio Islam, Kathumba said by participating in the competition, she has learned a lot of issues which will help her spiritually.

Kathumba, a nurse by profession then urged other young Muslims to participate in matters of the deen.

“I commend radio Islam for organizing the competition,” Kathumba

In his remarks, chairman of the committee which organized the competition Yusuf Daisa has congratulated Kathumba for her outstanding performance.

Daisa said the completion has this year registered an increased number of participants and over 5000 people took part in it.

He added that it is pleasing to note that women have continued to dominate as winners but has meanwhile urged men to participate in the competition.
