Government to construct 55 health posts-Minister

Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda says government has committed 13 billion kwacha for the construction of 55 health posts in rural areas

Speaking during a press conference in Lilongwe, Chiponda said the Ministry will also construct 8 health centres.

She said construction of Phalombe health centre was completed and will be officially opened next month.

The Health Minister adds that the facility is waiting for the delivery of furniture and other non-medical products before opening

Chiponda said the cancer centre is now providing chemotherapy services to patients and working on commissioning bunkers

The Minister says the country is battling three major infectious diseases namely Polio, Cholera, and Covid-19
