Food and nutrition conference next week

Ministry of Health will on October 8 to 9 hold a dissemination conference where issues of food and nutrition will be tackled.

Speaking in Lilongwe during press briefing at Central Information Office (COI), Director for Department of Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, under the Ministry, Felix Pensulo said the dissemination will help them share new ideas and technologies required to achieve national human wellbeing and development through effective food and nutrition interventions.

” The platform will be used for sharing findings of the food and nutrition research to the academia, government, civil society organisations, industries, development partners and other institutions,” explained Pensulo.

In his remarks Associate Proffessor, Dr. Alexander Kalimbira of Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources said the conference will help them showcase interventions that were tried locally in identifying food quality and nutrition.

The conference will be hosted at the Bingu International Conference Center in (BICC) Lilongwe.
