Floods Hit Malawi’s Capital City
Floods has destroyed part of Area 18 health centre, houses and new bridges in the capital city of Malawi, Lilongwe.
In response to the disaster, aspiring candidate for Democratic Progressive Party DPP in Lilongwe City centre constituency has renovated the centre whose reception was destroyed by the floods.
Speaking to radio Islam after the renovation Limbani Kalirani said he decided to carry out the work as the hospital provides necessary medical assistants to people.
“I will provide beddings to the hospital and fix electricity as they are some of the major challenges the facility is facing,” Kalirani said
Speaking at the hospital principal secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr Dan Namalika said the hospital is operational.
