Department of Immigration suspends passport applications

Department of Immigration and citizenship services has suspended receiving passport applications from Wednesday 8th January to 13 January 2020.

Public relations officer for the department inspector Joseph Chauwa says during the period it will be migrating from machine readable to e-passport.

Chauwa says acceptance of the passport applications will resume on Tuesday 14th January 2020.
