Counter covid vaccination misinformation-OSISA tells leaders

Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa OSISA has appealed to community leaders to counter misinformation regarding covid-19 vaccination

The call was made during a one day training under the theme “My vaccine, our protection” in Mangochi aimed at increasing community uptake of covid-19 vaccine

Speaking during the training Dr Catherine Mtimuni who is senior lecturer at University of Malawi said “a lot of people are not vaccinated due to false information which has been spreading through different platforms.”

In his remarks one of the participants the village headman Mapira said the training is an eye opener since they have learnt significant issues about covid-19 vaccine
