Community Leaders Involvement Crucial in Research Studies-Johns Hopkins CAB
Community Advisory Board for John Hopkins research project says involvement of community leaders has positively contributed in research studies
This was said during the media engagement organized by the board in Blantyre
Speaking at the end of the meeting, Chairperson of CAB Blantyre Chapter, David Odalli, said many people are interested to participate in the research studies after engaging on research issues.
Odalli said CAB has also cleared the misconception and fear among the communities on the participation in the research studies.
On his part Group Village Somanje Makata of Blantyre, said his subjects are aware of the studies carried within his area.
He said the board has indeed helped a lot in as far as sensitizing community on importance of taking part in research studies.
CAB is an advisory committee consisting of representatives of the general public who bridge between research institutions and communities.
